Jamshedpur, July 17: Tata Power field engineer Manoj Toppo committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan of his quarter  at the outhouse of Nepali Building in Telco Colony. His neighbours saw him hanging from the ceiling fan of his room and immediately informed the Telco police who conducted the inquest and sent the body for autopsy. The 35 year old Toppo hailed from Chanho police station area in Ranchi.

The police too are in a quandary about the reason for Toppo’s taking the extreme step. They said they are looking for clues leading to his committing suicide. Tata Power officials too rushed to Toppo’s residence on receipt of information. Nobody is sure as to why Toppo committed suicide.

The police, while checking several angles are also trying to find out if he had any problems on the work front or if he was suffering from domestic anxieties. They also claim that the picture would be clearer after receiving the autopsy report.
