Jamshedpur: Sumant Moolgaokar, the man often referred to as the architect of Tata Motors, earlier TELCO, who led the company for nearly four decades, was remembered by the senior executives, Workers Union and employees of Tata Motors on his 25th Death anniversary on Tuesday.
The day long program began with A B Lall, head, Jamshedpur Plant, offering floral tributes at the statue of the visionary inside Tata Motors works. A large number of employees including Chandrabhan Prasad, general secretary, Telco workers Union and senior executives of the company were also present on the occasion.
Main function of the day was organized at the Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium. A collection of photos showcasing the life and works of Moolgaokar was also displayed in an exhibition at Telco Club which was inaugurated by Lall in the evening.
Rare photographs of Moolgaokar were at display which gave a glimpse of the immense contribution made by him in shaping the company and the colony. A large number of past and present employees of the company were present on the occasion along with their families.
