Republic Day celebrated with fervour at Tata Motors

Jamshedpur, Jan 28: Republic Day was celebrated with fervour at Tata Motors. The chief guest of the occasion was plant head Vishal Bhardwaj. He hoisted the National Flag at Sumant Moolgaonkar Stadium and inspected the parade.
In his address, he said Tata Motors was directly or indirectly connected to several crore people. He urged all employees to keep moving ahead by incorporating the mission, vision and value of the company. He said the Jamshedpur plant had adopted the concept of TQM to achieve world class quality. He said the company was making efforts in this direction for the last one year. He said the company has a world class safety system which is a matter of joy. He said no mishap had occurred in the last six months. The reason behind this is the strict compliance with safety system, he said.
Badshah said the employees and workers should enter the plant only after wearing safety equipments. He said road accidents had shown a decline through expansion of bus services. He advised workers not to use mobile phone in their work area.
The plant head said the company had set a goal of completing over 150 quality improvement projects this year. So far, over 100 projects have been completed, he said.
Badshah said the company had delivered timely on several important work orders this financial year. The orders include those from Quwait, Royal Tai Army and the Indian Army, he said.
Other dignitaries present during the programme included Senior Manager Manas Mishra, IR Head Ravi Kumar, HR Head Deepak Kumar, Union president Gurmeet Singh, RK Singh, Anil Sharma and Dr Sanjay Srivastava.
