Jamshedpur: A Tata Motors employee Shivam Kumar Dubey died on Sunday minutes after winning a cricket match in Telco. He collapsed on the ground moments after starting to run towards the pavilion while waving his T-shirt.
He was taken to Tata Motors Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Sources said the deceased, who was about to be married next month, was playing on behalf of World Truck Cab Drop department of the company at Telco ground. Rejoining in his team’s victory, Dubey took off his T-shirt and started running towards the pavilion.
Suddenly, he fell on the ground and reportedly suffered from a severe heart attack. He died on his way to hospital. The incident sent a wave of sorrow and shock in the company. Senior company officials visited the hospital to meet the aggrieved family members of the deceased.
