Company providing quality services to citizens, says CM
Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das Thursday said the Tata lease renewal agreement needs no review. He said Tata Steel provides a host of services in the field of sports, health and other sectors which was unparalleled.
Das was speaking to scribes at Sidhgora Surya Mandir. He said he praised the company for its services to the community around it.
“In a democracy, everyone has a right to speak. People can express themselves. But they should not go after petty things. Rather they should fill their minds with lofty thoughts. If there is a problem it should be resolved through mutual consultations,” he said.
The CM advised his critics to be constructive and give up petty politics. He said even the government has drawbacks, but people should try to see its achievements and development works carried out by it.
Das said Tata Steel would soon give five day training to the cleaning staff of municipal bodies. After training, the government would provide Rs 450 per diem to the skilled workers, he said.
Das said it was his personal commitment to remove poverty, unemployment and sufferings of the people of the state as a poor worker has been made the ‘Mukhya Sevak’ of the state.
The CM said that with the power of the 3.25 crore people of the state all these targets would be achieved. He said that solution of all the problems lay in quick development. Das said the government has given land for the Manipal Medical College and by removing all the hurdles the children would be able to study MBBS in the college from 2019.
He said that in the days to come Jharkhand would be developed as a medical hub as there were tremendous opportunities for employment in the sector. He said that there was a need for ward boys, housekeeping staff and nursing staff for which skill development of the youth of the state was being done and with the opening of five new medical colleges in Dumka, Palamu, Hazaribagh, Koderma and Chaibasa the seats in medical colleges would increase to 1200.
The CM said there should be separate cadres for urban and local bodies for which the process of hiring was on. He said that secretary of the urban development department has been instructed to train the cleanliness workers so that they can become semi skilled workers after which they will be given Rs 450 per day and they would be also eligible to avail the benefits of the various schemes being run by the worker welfare board which will help to bring prosperity in their lives and also in the lives of their family members.
Das said that soon foundation would be laid to set up a 500 bed hospital in MGM College Hospital and the foundation for women college will also be laid near the Surya Mandir. He said Jharkhand is a young state and the youth have the potential to make a name for themselves in all professional fields as the government was also working for the training of the man power.
