Jamshedpur, Jan. 23: Motilal Nehru Public School organized the Graduation Nite ceremony for the outgoing batch of plus-two students in the school premises on Tuesday. The chief guest on the occasion was Dr. P.D. Singh, Head of Department, Department of Sanskrit and NSS Coordinator, Kolhan University.
The distinguished guests on the occasion included the Vice President, V.S. Rana, Secretary, Dr. D.P. Shukla, Girish Tiwary, Treasurer and Ashok Pandey, Secretary.
It was a moment of joy and pride for all parents and other guests when the outgoing batch walked onto the stage carrying the light of knowledge which they pledged to carry further as they leave the school portals. A classical welcome dance -Kathak was performed by the students on the occasion.
Some inspiring thoughts were shared by the students pertaining to life and optimism. Teacher Shampa Banerjee blessed the graduating batch of 2019 and inspired them to achieve the success in every field and to keep the M.N.P.S banner flying high. Appreciation certificates, character certificates and mementos were distributed. Other guests who graced the occasion were dignitaries of the school managing committee, Principal and others.
Mementos were awarded to students of class 12. The class 12 rank holders were Ashish, Subhojeet Bhattacharjee, Rishabh Kumar, Ashmita Tiwary, Vanshika, Nidhi Singh, Meghna, Shana Parveen and Manveer Singh Mann.
Arun Dev won the special award by Amity University, Harshit Mehta won best Endeavour award, Swami Vivekananda Award was bagged by Ashmita Tiwary, Viraj Trophy was won by Rishabh Kumar and most prestigious Principal’s Award was won by Sushmita Jha.
The Chief Guest in his speech said that while the school prepares empowered young adults to move ahead in society, it is the responsibility of every student to ensure that they give back to society in whichever way they can.
He encouraged students to be socially active and dream big. The Special Guest, for today’s evening was, Dr. Hashmi Jamil Hussain, Head Environment & Forest Management with Raw Material Strategy Group at Tata Steel.
Dr. Hashmi in his speech encouraged the students to look beyond themselves and come forward to work hard and emerge as young leaders to move ahead in the society. All plus-two teachers were actively involved in making the programme a success. The vote of thanks was delivered by the Principal Ashu Tiwary.
