Jamshedpur : On the occasion of World Stroke Day, Department of Neurosciences at Brahmananda Narayana Multispeciality Hospital Jamshedpur introduced ‘stroke prevention package.’
This is a preventive care package for people who are diabetic, hypertensive, obese, smokers, having family history of stroke or cardiac diseases, old age etc. The package includes basic diagnostic examinations such as fasting and postprandial blood sugar, lipid profile, complete blood count, renal function test, carotid Doppler, PT/INR, dietician and neurology consultation.
The introduction of this ‘stroke prevention package’ was aimed at disseminating essential life-saving information and sharing knowledge about actions and lifestyle behaviours that could avert the attack of stroke.
