Jamshedpur, Oct 27: For the first time in Jamshedpur “Ex-Servicemen Rally” & “Pension Adalat” for Ex Servicemen, Veer Naris & War Windows of Jharkhand will be organized on 29 & 30 Oct at Gopal Maidan.
The event is being organized by 23 Infantry Division on behalf of South-Western Command. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren on October28 in the presence of Lt Gen Gyan Bhusan of South Western Command, large number of military and civil dignitaries, said Brigadier Navneet Singh Sarna at a press meet organized at Gopal Maidan today.
Sarna said that in addition to Pension Adalat of Ex Servicemen, a number of events like, Paramotors demonstration, Band Display, Dog show, motorcycle team (Tornado), Know your Army Exhibition & variety of entertainment programmes will be there as part of the two day rally. We are expecting a turnout of more than 4000 Ex Servicemen, their families and civil population at the venue during these two days.
Talking further Sarna told that a medical camp to provide specialized treatment to the Ex-Servicemen and their family will also be organized at Tulsi Bhavan on both the days where free medicine will also be provided to the patients.
This event is taking place for the first time since 2007 and it will also provide awareness to the school students who want to join the army and also for the locals of Jamshedpur on 30th October were exhibition will be put up, all the things are in place and the stage is set where jawans are working tough to make it a success, added Sarna.
