Jamshedpur, May 21: Freedom fighter and Sreeleathers founder Suresh Chandra Dey was remembered by family members at the Sakchi showroom of the footwear major in a simple ceremony to commemorate his 30 th death anniversary. Floral tributes were paid by the family members. Suresh Chandra Dey’s son late Asish Dey was also remembered fondly on the occasion.
As a part of their tribute, the family members reiterated their vow to serve the people honestly with quality and constantly improved products. Sreeleathers is a brand name in footwear that is popular not only in the country but abroad too. Suresh Chandra Dey came to Jamshedpur with a vision to serve the people of his Motherland for which he had fought against the British and became a permanent name among freedom fighters who had played a leading role for the independence of India.
Today, Sreeleathers boasts of more than 1,000 employees who work assiduously while bringing out durable and quality products. The family of late Suresh Chandra Dey vowed to keep the visionary’s dream of ensuring employment to as many people and to offer quality products at reasonable prices thereby living upto the ideals of the founder.
