Jamshedpur, Sept 30: Life had come to an almost standstill in every sphere of activity and the lot of performing artistes too remained in an uneasy atmosphere failing to release their creative potentials. Stage shows were suspended and filmmaking came to a grinding halt. But organizations like Jharkhand Films’ Promotion Council (JFPC) showed the way by conducting online competitions for music and acting exponents thus stoking the flames of creativity among performing artistes alive and aglow.
To continue with the endeavor the Society for Promotion of Art and Movies (SOANM) has launched the second edition of ‘Kala Sangam’ by which it will provide online opportunities to budding talents in the fields of lyrics writing, music composition, vocal, dance, story writing, screenplay, mono acting, pair performance, movies, film editing, scene composition and mobile movie making. To add pep into these performances, they are being organized on competitive basis and cash awards await winners in the various segments.
SOANM president Nand Kumar Singh said that it was necessary to keep the creative momentum alive and thus ‘Kala Sangam – 2’ was launched on the auspicious occasion of Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar’s birthday on September 28. SOANM members Manoj Sinha and Sushant Kumar were present during the press briefing.
