With broom, wheel barrow and Tata Magic truck the entire team (approx. 50 nos.) took one hour to clean the Jubilee Park picnic area covering more than 5 acres. Similar activity is planned for the market and other localities in town.
The objective behind organizing the Shram Daan was to make the picnickers aware of the mess/ litter they create once they leave the place. Everyday Public Health Staff clean the entire Jubilee Park at night and early in the morning for the public so that when they come next day they see a beautiful Jubilee Park as it used to be.
But the picnickers come, enjoy with family and litter all around the park. Today’s Shram Daan was organized to create awareness amongst those picnickers so that they do not litter and throw waste anywhere they want.
