Jamshedpur: The five-day UCIL Challenger Cup Cricket Tournament held at Narwa Pahar UCIL Colony in Jadugora, concluded on Sunday. Shield XI Jugsalai was crowned the winner of the tournament. The winning team received a cash prize of Rs 50 thousand from Zila Parishad chairperson Bullu Rani Singh. Runners-up team Royal XI Pardih received Rs 30 thousand as cash award.

The third place was jointly bagged by Pinku XI from Odisha and Kaushik XI from Ghatsila. They got Rs 10 thousand as cash award.

At the cricket championship total of 48 teams from Jharkhand, Bengal and Odisha participated. To make the tournament successful Bullu Rani Singh, Hiranmay Das, PC Das, Dhananjay Singh, Gajiya Hansda, Sagar Tudu, Jagbal Singh Sardar, Bal Krishna Mishra, Inderjeet Das, Fakir Chandra Das, Ashok Das, mukhiya Malti Hansda, Tara Das provided full support while Suraj Mahato and Prabhas Chandra Mahato played the role of commentators.
