Ghatsila: VISION, the annual short film festival of Ghatsila, is now in its 7th year. Jointly organized by Ghatsila based CREATIVE ART DIVISION and Kolkata based TAKE 5 COMMUNICATIONS, VISION 2019 has an interesting bouquet of creatively designed short films made by both professional and budding film makers.
The two day film festival has in its closet, films addressing issues like Patriotism, Cleanliness, Child Psychology, Noise Pollution, Abandoned Children, Cell phone Mania, Menstrual Hygiene…. to name a few. Like earlier, the first day of the festival would be exclusively for students and the second day for invited guests of the town.
The students’ special has been a big draw for the festival every year wherein select students from leading schools of Ghatsila participate in the screening of films and an interactive session follows thereafter. This year too, message oriented films would be screened for the students and after each screening a Question-Answer round would take place.
Five films would be screened on the first day and ten films on the second day. The films range from 5 min. to 20 min. in duration and are in English, Hindi and Bengali languages, some are silent films as well. The films are from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Jamshedpur.
VISION 2019 happens on November 15 and 16, 2019 at Mangalam Hall (Anand Mangal Complex), Ghatsila and would commence at 5 pm each day.
Debraj Mukherjee, chief of Creative Art Division and Tathagata Bhattacherjee, chief of Take 5 Communications are hopeful that like its previous editions VISION 2019 would be a treat for all eyes.
