Jamshedpur, July 15: The Milanee, city’s oldest socio-cultural club in the city hosted its 78th General Body Meeting of the club under the president ship of Sekhar Dey.

273 members of the club attended the meet which saw Sekhar Dey being reelected as the president of The Milanee for 2018-2020. Nitu Ghosh was elected the vice president while Bhaskar Mitra, Animesh Kumar Sarkar, Swapan Kumar Adak and Debabrata Chatterjee were Co-Opted for the vice presidents’ post.

Several reports and amendments were adopted in the meeting with majority support.
Reports included Audited Accounts for the period of 2008–2018, General Secretary’s report and appointment of auditor.

The meeting decided to have 18 executive committee members instead of 21 from next term onwards of which minimum 3 nos. will be compulsorily from lady members. Each and every member will have to pay compulsorily Rs. 500 plus GST @ 18% every year.

The other office bearers elected were General Secretary-Dipankar Dutta, Joint Secretary- Krishnendu Chatterjee, Treasurer- Gautam Guha, Asst. Treasurer- Basudeb Das, Asst. Secretary- Gautam Acharjee and Swapan Dutta.

The elected executive committee members of the club include Arijit Sarkar, Ranjit Kumar Chatterjee, Mihir Kumar Bhattacherjee, Bimal Roy, Prashant Kumar Chowdhury, Asim Kumar Mitra, Ranadhir Roy Chowdhury, Pulak Kumar Sengupta, Kamal Kumar Mandal and Anjan Das.

Unanimously elected executive committee members for 2018-2020 are Dipankar Dutta, Krishnendu Chatterjee, Gautam Acharya, Gautam Guha, Ranjit Chatterjee, Swapan Dutta, Pallab Roy, Kamal Kumar Mandal, Asim Mitra, Basudev Das, Mihir Kumar Bhattacherjee, Arijit Sarkar, Prashanta Kumar Choudhury, Pulak Kumar Sengupta, Ranadhir Roy Choudhury, Anjan Kumar Das, Nitu Ghosh and Bimal Roy.
