Jamshedpur: Notification for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections for six constituencies in Jharkhand will be issued on19th March. This was informed by the chief election officer PK Jajoria.
Jajoria said nominations will be filed for Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Singhbhum, Khunti, Giridih and Hazaribagh constituencies from 19th March onwards. Nominations will be filed forsecond phase till 26th March, he said.
Four days are left for the filing of nominations for the four Lok Sabha constituencies of the state going for Lok Sabha polls in the first phase.
Candidates will be able to file their nominations till 22nd March for the elections slated to be held on 10th April. These constituencies include Chatra, Kodarma, Lohardagga and Palamu.
Sources said state Bharatiya Janata Party president Ravindra Rai and several other candidates may file nomination from Kodarma tomorrow. Congress candidate from Lohardagga Rameshwar Oraon is also likely to file his nomination tomorrow.
