Jamshedpur, Oct 17: With the commencement of Navratri observation from Saturday, the district and police administrations are gearing up to ensure prevalence of law and order in the city as also strict implementation of COVID protocols. SDO Dhalbhum Nitish Kumar Singh and ADM Nandkishore Lal today inspected the Swarnrekha immersion bank at Mango, Domohani at Sonari, Beli Bodhanwala Ghat in Bistupur and others.
SDO Nitish Kumar Singh informed that all immersion of idols will be done in the presence of administrative and police officials at the various banks and no unauthorized persons would be allowed in the processions. The two officials also enquired about the approach roads to the various ghats. They gave out instructions of keeping all the immersion banks clean, provision of proper lighting and security arrangements to officials concerned.
ADM Nand Kishor Lal said that plans would be discussed of allotting separate timings to the different puja committees for immersion of images. He said that administrative officials would be put in charge of the various immersion banks.
The SDO and ADM stated that corona test camps would be set up at Adityapur and Kadma toll bridges and at the Domohani approach road to check on devotees coming in from other districts as measures to prevent the people of Jamshedpur from getting infected by the COVID virus.
