Jamshedpur: The district implementation committee today decided to implement as many as 30 schemes worth Rs 6 crore. These schemes are aimed at providing benefits to the members of Primitive Tribal Group living in remote parts of the district. The committee took the decision in a meeting held today at the district office.
The meeting was presided over by the deputy commissioner Dr Amitabh Kaushal. It was also attended by the MLA of Potka Menka Sardar, MLA of Ghatsila Ramdas Soren and MLA of Baharagora Vidyut Varan Mahato.
All schemes will soon be inaugurated. They will be implemented in Ghatsila. The roadengineering department was given the task of preparing the estimates. The block offices have been asked to form beneficiaries’ committee comprising three members each inallthe blocks.
In most of the blocks, roads are to be constructed in remote and interior villages.
The DC said the schemes were aimed at developing basic infrastructure in the villages having little or no access to such facilities. The road construction and other facilities will help the people including PTG members get direct or indirect benefit of such schemes.
The MLAs said the schemes should be inaugurated without delay so that the people may start getting their benefits as soon as possible.
