Jamshedpur, Oct. 13: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the oldest trade body in Kolhan, has demanded a train in the name of former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In a letter to Union Railway minister Piyush Goyal, general secretary of the chamber Vijay Anand Moonka, said, a train from Jagganath Puri to Rajasthan/Ajmer Sharif via Tatanagar should be started.
‘Jaipur and nearby areas is hub of tourism, religious and trade and people travelling in this route have been facing difficulties and have been demanding a train for a very long time. Passengers of this route specially the Rajasthani families (population of which is around three lakh) will be delighted if the train is started’, said Moonka.
He further said that people in large number from this region also visit Ajmer Sharif will be pleased by the move.
According to the letter, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an indisputable leader and a dignified person. Starting a train service in his name will be a true tribute by this government to one of the greatest son of India.
