Jamshedpur, Sept 30: Jamshedpur East constituency legislator Saryu Roy visited Birsanagar Zones 10, 11 and Vardan Colony where people welcomed him with garlands and a shawl. The residents made the legislator aware of the persistent problems in the three localities of Birsanagar. They said that the well in Kuan Maidan at Zone 10 was an open invitation to suicide and stated that iron mesh be put over it as a lid to prevent such incidents. The residents of Zones 10, 11 and Vardan Colony demanded that community buildings be built in the three localities. They also urged Saryu Roy to ensure construction of drains and streets, , installation of street lights and proper electrification. The legislator assured the citizens that their demands would be taken up in order of priority.
Among those present along with Saryu Roy during the East Jamshedpur Assembly constituency legislator’s visit to Birsanagar were Ram Narayan Sharma, Ajay Sinha, Sanjiv Acharya, Hareram Singh, M Chandrashekhar Rao, Rajiv Chauhan, Rajendra Singh, Indrajit Singh, Vikas Gupta, Gautam Dhar, Dipak Kumar, Shankar Karmakar, Kashinath Pradhan, Rahul Das, Mantu Das, Biplab Chandra, Jasmine Soren, Janki Gour, Jhuma Mitra, Anand Singh, Kuldip Singh, Subhash Chandra Panda, Baijnath Prasad, Mahesh Shah, Prakash Mahto, Anju Das, Anita John, Anita Devi and the colony residents.
