Jamshedpur, Oct 19: A one-day seminar of headmasters of all government schools of Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency was convened at Tata Workers High School, Kadma, on Saturday. State food and civil supplies minister cum MLA of Jamshedpur West Saryu Roy chaired the programme. The headmasters of 43 schools were present on this occasion along with the district superintendent of education (DSE) Vineet Kumar.
Addressing the meeting, SP Singh, the programme convenor, said the minister had provided various resources to the government schools of his constituency. The very purpose of the workshop is to invite suggestions from the headmasters for bringing about quality changes in education being provided in government schools.
Roy said all schools had received help from the administration. But few of them had gone extra miles to give quality education to their pupils, he said.
The seminar was attended by Sunil Thakur, Dr Bholendra Pandey, Manju, Meeta Ray and Sarita Kumari.
