Jamshedpur, Jan 9: Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency legislator and former Jharkhand minister Saryu Roy assured in a review meeting of all headmasters and teachers of government schools in his constituency that qualitative education and facilities at par with private schools would soon be introduced in their schools too so that guardians would not make a beeline for private institutions.

The Jamshedpur East legislator told all headmasters and teachers present during the review meeting held at People’s Academy High School in New Baradwari that government school teachers were more experienced and qualified than their private school counterparts and thus were more capable of providing qualitative education to students towards which end they should strive dedicatedly and honestly. Roy said, “Study material for students, texts and syllabus should be modeled keeping in view the future of students who were the future of the nation. Provision for physical activities too should be at par, if not better than private schools. You all are more qualified and your dedicated approach to teaching will generate better results which will provide parents and guardians alternative options for their wards to pursue their educational foundation in government schools.”

The headmasters and teachers in the meeting held at People’s Academy High School in New Baradwari put up problems being faced at government schools and Saryu Roy assured them that the roadblocks would soon be removed. He asked teachers to list the problems and he would take up the matter and see to the removal of such problems.

Others who attended the meeting included District Education Superintendent Dilip Kumar, ADPCs Pankaj Kumar and Akhilesh Singh, BEEO, former BEEO S Singh apart from many school headmasters and teachers hailing from government schools in Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency.
