Jamshedpur : City-based Sarojini Memorial Trust paid rich tributes to late Sarojini Devi on her 29th death anniversary. Under the guidance of M S Shekhar Rao, chairman of the trust, a series of philanthropic activities were organised.
The chief guest D P Mishra, zonal manager, Bank of India, along with guest of honour, BK Dinda, general secretary of Tata Workers’ Union handed over clothes to the needy.
Latter in the evening chief guest Shwetabh Suman, income tax commissioner along with guests of honour Ganesh Kumar ADC, Raghunath Pandey, president, Jusco Shramik Union, SRA Rizwi Chabban, secretary, State Congress and Dalbir Singh handed over blankets among seers.
It may be mentioned that the trust runs several technical institutes in different parts of the State. The institutes were founded with a mission to provide higher education to the under privileged at an affordable cost and means.
The academic value is given an utmost important with an aim to provide a comprehensive and contemporary education. The mission of the institute is to provide an excellent quality technical education coupled with activities to further enhance social and intellectual growth.
