Jamshedpur: Members of Voice of Humanity distributed saris and chappal among poor and aged women across the city on Friday. They met the poor people living outside the Tatanagar railway station and also gave them saris and footwear.
According to Hari Singh, founder of the outfit, many poor children and women were found walking barefoot during Mission Annapurna campaign during the last three years. Women were also seen wearing tattered clothes. This led the outfit to plan distribution of saris and chappals, he said.
The Good Samaritans included Shambhu, Vimal, Ajay, Nisar, Mukund, Aman, Chandan, Pratik, Vibhas, Abhinav, Sumit and Rohan.
