Jamshedpur, May 10: The 22 day voters’ awareness drive conducted by Samarthya Welfare Trust concluded today. The drive was conducted in various parts of the city. Samarthya president Pallavi Deep in her concluding remarks observed, “Urban voters especially women are usually disinterested in casting their votes. Some people go into a holiday mood on polling day. Some others who are against the concept of democracy advocate the NOTA option.”
Motivating first time voters, Pallavi said that voting is a festival of democracy and they should exercise their constitutional right to franchise with a sense of joy and pride. “Follow your voice of conscience to elect a stable government,” she stated.
The 22 day voters’ awareness drive conducted by Samarthya included patron Rita Mishra, Julie Singh, Shilpi Singh, Mira Tiwary, Chanda Singh, Manju Singh, Ritu Sonekar, Maya Singh, Rani Singh, Jayanti Hema and Moni Singh.
