Jamshedpur, Nov 10: Social organization, ‘Samadhaan’ is gearing up for holding its fifth community marriage ceremony. The organization has been deep into organizational work since the past four months to hold this auspicious event which will be their fifth endeavor in this realm. According to information available, the ‘Panigrahan’ event will be held for the 15 identified couples on Sunday, November 17. Prior to this, on Saturday, November 16 evening, the traditional Mehendi, Haldi and Sangeet ceremony will be organized.
With less than a week remaining for the event, the Samadhaan team is busy looking into the nitty gritty of details on a war footing. A meeting was held today at 3:30 pm in the Sidgora Town Hall to discuss the details along with the selected 15 couples, their parents and guardians and volunteers. The chief patron of Samadhaan Dinesh Kumar gave the couples, their parents and guardians and volunteers all necessary directives. Responsibilities for arrangement of lights, tent, decoration, welcome and cultural events were distributed among volunteers. The meeting was presided by Bina Arun Khirwal. Samadhaan members present included Harjit Bhatia, Kuljit Sadana, Amita Mahendru, Punam Sahu, Gita Wagadia, Ankit Anand, Amarjit Singh raja, Asish Gulati, Gitanjali Bose, Anita Vibhar, Kamlesh Vibhar, Shailendra Mishra along with the 15 selected couples, their parents and guardians and the volunteers.
