Jamshedpur, Sept. 10: Sacred Heart Convent School was declared the overall champion of inter-school fest ‘Jive’ organised by Tarapore School, Agrico on Monday. Convent girl won most number of prizes at the fest based on the theme of Marvel Series.

Students from fifteen city schools participated in 10 events including -Knowhere, Ashes, Zenn-La, Into-D-Lenseverse, Ketroc, Civil War, Harvey, Birj, Cameo and End game.

The winner of Civil War-The Personality Battle was Priyanshu Srivastava from Hill Top School while Tulika Singh of Sacred Heart Convent was the runner-up.

In the Ashes event students were asked to create original remix while the music to be remixed was disclosed on the spot. Aditya Singh of Hill Top School won the top spot and runners up was Vyoma Varsha of Loyola School.

For the event Zenn-La students indulges in wall art on the theme outer space or Marvel characters. Vivek Vidyalaya bagged the first prize while Sacred Heart ended as the runners up.  

For the event Into-D-Lenseverse the participants used their camera or mobile phone to click photographs and compile the pictures in a video of maximum 2 minutes. Kerala Samajam Model School won the first prize followed by Loyola School.

The students had to create meme worthy content for the event Ketroc. Hill Top School students were declared the winners followed by JH Tarapore School.

The quiz contest Knowhere tested the general knowledge, current affairs and Marvel, DC and other comics trivia. Sacred Heart Convent girls were declared the winners and Loyola School took the runners up position.

The rapt attention from the audience was greatly appreciated. Claps sounded every now and then signifying their pleasure while the programme went on.

Earlier, the programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the school chairman, B.D. Bodhanwala. Also present on the occasion was Rubina Bodhanwala, Principal Amy Billimoria, Vice-Principal Ishita Dey and the Administrator Tina Bodhanwala.

A welcome speech was given by the Head girl of the host school. The students presented a video of the last year’s glimpses of the events and achievements of our school.

Principal Amy Billimoria said, “It was a unique opportunity for the school to have conducted such a grand inter school event involving so many different participants where their creativity could be unleashed and explored.”

“The day started with a lot of hubbub and excitement and by the end of the day left everyone enriched adding to a lot of experiences. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they moved from one activity to the other. Months of dedication with a variety of responsibilities and a lot of hard work went into it,” she added.

The programme ended with the Prize distribution.
