Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leader Abhay Singh today claimed the Lok Sabha elections in Jamshedpur constituency was going to witness party candidate Dr Ajoy Kumar setting a new record of victory. He said Dr Ajoy will be breaking his own last record as registered by his victory in the last Lok Sabha elections.
“The people of Jamshedpur are going to vote for the right candidate without giving any weight to the caste, creed or other such petty details of candidates in fray. They will reject unworthy candidates and choose only the deserving one who has the ability and intentions to work hard and do something for them,” said Singh.
The JVM central committee secretary was speaking to scribes at Rajasthan Bhavan, Bistupur, at the conclusion of campaigning for all candidates as per Election Commission guidelines. Replying to allegations against Dr Ajoy about having falsely claimed credit for donating computers to various academic institutions, he said, “Dr Ajoy Kumar has helped the institutions by asking various NGOs to donate computers to them. He has not done it by spending money from his fund. We are ready to any verification or investigation in this regard.”
Abhay Singh said his party had requested the district administration to make sure that no political party or independent candidate is allowed to make use of money or other resources to influence voters or the election. He said the guidelines of Election Commission should be followed at any cost without fail.
The JVM leader said the BJP leaders were trying to level false allegations against Dr Ajoy. Such allegations were not going to influence the winning prospects of Dr Ajoy, he said.
