Jamshedpur: The relatives and well-wishers of Robin Gorai, the Kadma youth who was killed by assailants near Uliyan on 13th July last, staged a demonstration outside Kadma police station on Sunday to demand arrest of the culprits.
Accusing the police of showing slackness in investigation, the protestors said Robin’s killers were still at large despite having committed the gruesome murder. The protestors said the police had arrested Robin in Bhola Rajak murder case. But when Robin was killed, the police did not show the same promptness, they said.
The protestors said the prime accused in Robin’s murder, Bhanu Majhi, and his aides were roaming freely in Kadma. They said the police should take immediate action against the accused persons.
Police officials said they had arrested one Shankar Majhi in connection with Robin’s murder. They said the accused persons will not be spared under any situation.
Robin was assaulted with rod, canes, wooden planks, bricks and stones near Bajrang Bali temple at Uliyan. He was called by one Bhanu over phone. He was released on bail from jail on 11th July last.
