Seraikela, Nov 8: Seraikela-Kharsawan Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Returning Officer A Dodde convened a meeting of district peace committee to discuss about Assembly poll preparations on Friday. He appealed to all peace committee members to cooperate with the district administration officials in ensuring peaceful conduct of elections and cent per cent compliance with the Model Code of Conduct. He also asked all political parties and candidates to strictly adhere to the Model Code and other instructions of Election Commission of India.
Dodde said Model Code of Conduct and Section 144 of CRPC were in effect in all Assembly constituencies. He said the participation of all stakeholders was necessary for free and fair elections. He said voters should not be compelled in any manner to caste their votes in favour of any particular candidate. Voters should feel free to elect the candidate of their choice, he said.
