Jamshedpur, Aug 12: Jharkhand People’s Party president and former MLA Surya Singh Besra Monday said he was ready to sacrifice everything in the larger interest of the people of Jharkhand. He gave a clarion call to all regional political parties and organizations of the state to join forces to save the Adivasis of Jharkhand and protect their rights.
Speaking to scribes at Nirmal Guest House, Besra said the main purpose of all opposition parties of the state should be to uproot the BJP-led government in Jharkhand. He alleged that the state government was implementing its anti-tribal policies in the name of development. He said unemployment caused by recession and closure of industries was compelling local residents to migrate to other states in search of greener pastures.
Others present at the press meet included Kritivas Mandal, Sunil Prasad, Dinesh Karmakar, Raju Besra and Santosh Karua.
