Jamshedpur: Following complain from former MLA Maneka Sardar to the Deputy Commissioner about fake foodgrains being delivered in the name of the dead from the shops of Public Distribution System of Potka block of East Singhbhum district, ADM has started probe. The team was formed for the second time in the week to investigate irregularities.
On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla, ADM Nandkishore Lal investigated the shops located in Haldipokhar and Jamda of the shopkeepers Asgar Ali Ansari and Anwar Ali, who were also accused in the government ration case. The investigation found that ration is being lifted in the name of the deceased. The ADM took detailed information about the beneficiary list of both the shopkeepers, distribution register, e-pos machine, list of names of beneficiaries in the shop etc. and asked to list the information.
On the spot, the ADM directed BDO cum in-charge supply officer Kapil Kumar to call an early meeting of all the shopkeepers in the name of the deceased person, one beneficiary, along with two ration cards and other items. In the meeting, give clear instructions that shopkeepers should submit a written list of the names of such beneficiaries, otherwise strict action will be taken against the shopkeeper found guilty.
