Jamshedpur, June 29: Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) organized Achiever’s Award Ceremony in the school premises on Friday. It was an endeavour to acknowledge the continuing saga of the glorious achievement of students in school academics and various other fields.
The function commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp and with the welcome dance performance. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Madhvi Mishra, SDO, East Singhbhum. The occasion was also graced by the presence of Srimanti Sen, Chairperson AIWC Schools, Sreeparna Ghosh, Secretary and Varsha Gandhi, Treasurer. The Principal Namita Agarwal presented the Annual Report, focusing on all the laurels the School has achieved during the past academic year.
The class X and XII Board Toppers were awarded for their outstanding performances in academics. In the category of Special Prizes, Rahul Kumar Tiwary of Std. XII was awarded ‘Jewel in the Crown’. Rahul Kumar Tiwary has made JPS and Jharkhand proud by securing 122nd rank in India in JEE.
The Principal’s Award for the outstanding student was jointly bagged by Diptam Das and Srijita Paul of std. XII. Special Achievement Award was given to Rahul Kumar Tiwary of std. XII for securing 94.6 % and Nikhil Raj Verma of class X for securing 97.4 % in CBSE Board Exams. 18 students of Std. X and 24 students of Std. XII Science and Commerce stream were awarded for securing 95 % and above in Board Exams.
In the category of Group Awards Rishabh Galrani & K. Sai Kamal jointly bagged the prize of Outstanding student of Std. X. Students with highest scores in all subjects were also given Proficiency Awards.
The school dance group members were also felicitated for winning the prizes at National & International levels and indeed making JPS proud.
It was an evening of inspirational speeches, particularly by the magnanimous Chief Guest, Madhvi Mishra, SDO, East Singhbhum. She felicitated and congratulated the students of their achievements and advised them to become good human beings and citizens. She wished them good luck for their future endeavours.
