Jamshedpur: Senior BJP leader Raghuwar Das has demanded a probe against all the tribal leaders comprising former and present MLA’s and Ministers for their alleged disproportionate assets accumulated ever since the formation of separate state Jharkhand.
Talking to the newsmen on Wednesday the BJP legislature from Jamshedpur East said that since the formation of Jharkhand the reins of the power have been in the hands of tribal leaders but still the tribal people have been deprived of the development and their plight remains the same.
They are forced to lead a life in penury. “I am of the opinion that the tribal leaders failed miserably to ensure the progress of the local people ever since Jharkhand was formed.
A probe must be called into their assets and wealth accumulated from more than decade now,” noted Das. Though he failed to pin point a particular political party but stated that the Ministers have done nothing but accumulated wealth, assets and misused power for personal gains.
Latter he said that the Congress Party is responsible for favouring corruption and giving rise poverty in the State. Just for the sake of rigging funds and resources of the State, Congress leaders conspired to topple BJP Government.
When questioned on State Human Resource Development Minister Geetashree Oraon statement that candidates who wrote Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) in Bhojpuri language will be disqualified, said that Congress leaders are trying to create rift in society by dividing tribals and non-tribals.
Oraon had told reporters in Jamshedpur regarding putting on hold the result of a recent Teachers Eligibility Test (TET).Former Deputy Chief Minister the Congress Party leaders are deliberately trying to spread confusion in the society to create rift and grab political mileage in the coming elections.
“Congress Party is scared of the rising popularity of Narendra Modi and conspiring against the people for political gains. Rising inflation and corruption are the result of wrong policies of Union Government and the party will have to pay price for it,” noted Das.Meanwhile, the leader also targeted against Tata Steel’s plan to vacate staff quarters and pave way for further buildings.
He said that he himself is against encroachment of any kind but vacating quarters is not a right step. Das informed that he will write letter to Tata Steel MD and Tata Workers’ Union president against any such move.
