Jamshedpur, May 3: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das’ 65th birthday was celebrated without much fanfare. In a simple ceremony, the residents of Gandhi Ashram in New Baradwari organized prayers in the colony temple seeking Divine blessings for Raghubar Das’ health, wellbeing and longevity. They also prayed for the eradication of coronavirus from the world. People could not personally go to wish the BJP senior leader on his birthday but wished him well through prayers. BJP members on the occasion distributed grocery packets containing rice, pulses, salt, cooking oil, soya bean chunks and potatoes under the party’s Modi Ahaar programme. Pawan Agrawal led a team of party members to distribute food essentials at Burmamines areas including Bhakti Nagar, Koyla Taal, Inder Singh Area and Sidhu Kanhu Basti. Among the team members were Dipak Jha, Ramesh Nag, Suraj Singh, Suresh Sharma, Dhanraj Gupta, Mitru Pradhan and Santosh Seth.
BJP Golmuri Mandal celebrates Raghubar’s birthday
BJP Golmuri unit members too celebrated former Chief Minister Raghubar Das’ birthday by distributing food essentials and cooked food among poor and needy people. Food essentials were distributed in packets among the poor people in front of the party’s Golmuri office. In the afternoon, the poor were served cooked food. The BJP Golmuri team members comprised Mandal president Probir Chatterjee Rana, Ashok Samant, Bunty Agrawal, Kapil Kumar, Sinu Rao, Prem Jha, Pankaj Sharma, Santosh Buta, Md Naushad, Satish Kumar and others.
