Jamshedpur, Dec 3: Jharkhand is a rich state well endowed with minerals. The entire country is progressing fast with the help of the state’s natural resources. But Jharkhand’s villages did not benefit from the state’s riches. This was observed by former Jharkhand CM and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha supremo Sibu Soren during an election meeting at Devli Chowk, Potka, on Tuesday.
Soren sought voters’ support for the JMM candidate from Potka Sanjeev Sardar. He said part of rich natural resources of the state should be spent on its development, employment generation, hospitals and education. But sadly enough, this did not happen, he said.
Soren appealed to voters to vote Sanjeev Sardar in power and save the state’s rich resources.
Also present on the occasion, former MLA of Potka Sanatan Majhi said saving Jharkhand’s resources was possible only by voting JMM in power.
Sanjeev Sardar said the voters of Potka will decide their fate. He said 14,000 schools of the state were shut down. He further alleged that no skill development centre was set up in the state and no employment generation took place.
Those present during the programme included Babu Majhi, Mohan Karmakar, Fagu Besra, Roreya Soren, Johen Das Baskey, Sukurmuni Tudu, Sitaram Hansda and Chakradhar Mahato.
