Saraikela: A programme under the National Nutrition Month was organized in the auditorium of the Child Development Project office where the importance of nutritious food during and after pregnancy was discussed. Women were told that iron tablets and food rich in iron should form a part of the diet as prevention against anemia. Among those who addressed the women assembled on the occasion were Block Pramukh Bishu Hembram, CO-cum- BDO in-charge Nivedita Niyoti and Child development Project Officer Durgesh Nandini. The women were told about care during pregnancy and after childbirth and the diet requirements. Sevikas of various Anganwadis were also present at the function.
