Jamshedpur, Dec. 28: The steel city Jamshedpur is all set to organize the fourth edition of yearly art camp at the Off the Wall art gallery in Supercentre, Kalimati Road in Sakchi. The event will be a four-day celebration of art and artists, starting January 5. The art camp will continue till January 8.
This time, 15 eminent artists from Chandigarh, Kullu, Patna, Kolkata, Varanasi, Ranchi and Dhanbad are taking part in the camp where carefully selected contemporary works will reflect the vibrancy and diversity of genres, themes and forms. Many in Jamshedpur will see the works of these artists, individually for the first time and definitely, collectively under one roof.
Divya Taneja, owner of ‘Off the Wall’ art gallery, said, this is the first time ‘Off the Wall’ is providing a platform for upcoming and Junior Artists of Jamshedpur to work in close proximity with and appreciate the works of peers and seniors from different backgrounds and different parts of the country; learn skills and techniques.
At the same time providing school and college students the scope to work under the guidance of some of the leading artists of the country, be exposed to a plethora of artistic visions and to pursue their interests in a more knowledgeable manner, added Taneja.
She further informed that there will be a Sit & Draw Art competition on January 8, 2017 from 8:30 – 10:30 am for all School and College Level students.
