Jamshedpur, July 18 : The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Kolhan University is gearing up to organisethe three-day inter university seminar on ‘Youth for Reconstruction with a Vision of New India’ between July 25 and July 27 at the Adityapurbased Srinath College of Education . The seminar would be sponsored by the state department of art, culture, sports and youth affairs.
An official of NSS said that the idea is to make students realise their role in nation development. The motive of the seminar was also to bring teachers and students together on a common platform to discuss issues related to youth and motivate them.
Representatives from VinobaBhave University, Hazaribagh; Central University, Jharkhand SidoKanhuMurmu University, Sumka; BIT Mesra; Nilamber Pitamber University, Palamuand other state universities are expected to participate.
While professors, assistant and associate lecturers, research fellows and students will present their research papers in various related topics, junior students from under graduation will get an opportunity to participate in a number of fun activities that includes group discussion, extempore; quiz; elocution; collage making and drama. Special sessions for students will be also conducted by scholars from across the country.
The official said that the role of the youth for national reconstruction became even more relevant in 1985 which was celebrated as the ‘International Year of the Youth’ with the basic themes of ‘Participation, Development and Peace’. In the years to come, the role of the youth in India and other developing countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America, in the task of national reconstruction is going to become increasingly more significant. The challenges are immense, and the youth, as a well-regulated wave of power can sweep through the country and meet these challenges competently, and life the country to heights of progress.There is little doubt that given the right lead and guidance, India’s youth can create a new society by eliminating the evils, making good the flaws and deficiencies and facilitating the reinstatement of the highly cherished moral values of the East. In addition to this they can lay the basis for reconstruction in all spheres-social, economic and political.
