Jamshedpur : JMM is all set to pay tribute birth anniversary of slain leader Nirmal Mahato tomorrow. The CM Hemant Soren will participate in the function tomorrow Elaborate plans are in made to bring voters and party cadre on common platform and charged them.
Several events have been lined up to observe the birth anniversary. On December 25 in the morning party leaders would pay tributes the revolutionary leader at the statue of Nirmal da at Tata Steel’s guest house in Northern Town.
As per the programme, in the day the family members of late Nirmal Mahato along with Sudhir Mahato, former deputy chief minister of the State who is also the younger sibling of Nirmal Mahato, would pay tributes at his mausoleum.
This would follow a memorial ceremony at Kadma where Chief Minister Hemant Soren and JMM chief Shibu Soren is expected to address the gathering. Along with Champai Soren, Ramdas Soren will participate.
Another JMM leader said that with the increase in the reach of Nirmal Mahato’s ideology amongst the party workers of neighbouring states particulary, West Bengal and Orissa, the turnout is expected to be all time high this year.
The leader said that tribals have always been deprived of their rights whether they are in Jharkhand or Assam. It is high time for us to unite and fight for our rights. It is our own land and we must rise to succeed. The presence of Soren will charged the voters and party cadre.
Meanwhile, Sudhir Mahato maintained that with the increase in the reach of Nirmal Da’s ideology amongst the party workers of neighbouring states particulary, West Bengal and Orissa their turnout is on increase over the years.
Mahato said, “The need of the hour is to work genuinely for the development of the state as Nirmal Da laid his life for the creation of a separate state to make tribals of this region earn livelihood with dignity.” He said that it is important to work together.
