Jamshedpur : National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has postponed the secondary and senior secondary 2014 exam dates due to the General Elections. Earlier, the exams were scheduled from March but now it will be held from the month of April onwards.
According to Revised Date Sheet of NIOS published on March 7, the secondary or Class 10th board examinations will be held on April 21, 19, 22 and 23 for Home Science, Mathematics, Indian Culture and Heritage, Word Processing (English) as well as Data Entry Operations subjects.
Previously, the exams of these subjects were to be held on April 7, 9, 10 and 12 respectively. Similarly, the Senior Secondary examination for Biology, History, English, Painting (theory), Business Studies and Psychology will now be conducted on April 28, 29, 26, May 2, May 3 and on May 5.
The subjects written sequentially were earlier decided to be held on April 7, 9, 10, 12, 17 and 24. Recent notification of NIOS mentions that the dates in respect of other subjects will remain same as notified earlier. The timing of all these revised examinations is fixed from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
