Jamshedpur, Oct. 21: Head coach of Odisha FC Josep Gombau on Monday said that they are excited to play the new season as a new club and enjoy the game.
“We are excited, want to do a good job. Football is for us to enjoy. We are here with this mentality,” he said.
Addressing a pre-match press conference at JRD Tata Sports Complex, Gombau said, “Last season is over. Now we start a journey at a new club in a new city. A lot of players are the same and I think we have a good squad. All the signings are done to improve the squad and I think we have a complete team.”
“We are happy with the pre-season and are very much comfortable in Odisha as compared to Delhi as it takes just about 15 minute to reach the training ground compared to heavy traffic in Delhi,” the Spaniard added.
Tata Football Academy graduate Narayan Das who plays as a defender for Odisha FC says, “It always feels great to be back in Jamshedpur where I have spent my precious days training for football. Good to see the Academy which has made me what I’m today and it is like coming back to home.”
