Jamshedpur, Jan. 28: The 7th yearly National Art Camp will be held from 31st January – 2nd February, 2020 at Supercentre, Kalimati Road Jamshedpur by Off The Wall Art Gallery.
More than 20 artists from Kolkata, Ranchi and also from Jamshedpur itself will be part of the camp. Budding artists from Jamshedpur will see the works of these artists, individually, for the first time, and definitely, collectively under one roof.
Off the Wall is also extending a similar platform for upcoming & Junior Artists of Jamshedpur & neighboring areas to work in close proximity with and appreciate the works of peers and seniors from different backgrounds and different parts of the country; learn skills and techniques.
At the same time providing school & college students the scope to work under the guidance of some of the leading artists of the country, be exposed to a plethora of artistic visions & to pursue their interests in a more knowledgeable manner.
Works of Master Artist Subrata Das , Swapan Kumar Saha , Shyamal Sikdar, Sanjoy Banerjee , Biraj Paul, Tapan Karmakar , Achintya Hazra , Sanghmitra Roy Majumder & Santu Naskar from Kolkata, Praween Karmakar , Amitava Mukherjee & Zakir Shah from Ranchi and last but not the least Badal Paramanik , Brindaban Debnath , Ashoke Kumar Maity , Biplob Roy , Uttam Mallick , Subodh Kumar & Prabir Shaw from Jamshedpur.
The Art Camp & show is curated by city based artist Prabir Shaw. Artists with distinctive styles and of different generations, they work on different mediums and explore themes that reflect the vibrant diversity of contemporary India, taking inspiration from abstract minimalism to rich mythology and global-desi pop culture. There will also be a Sit & Draw Art Competition on 2nd February 2020 from 9:00AM – 11:00 AM for all School & College Level students.
