Jamshedpur, Feb 13: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla convened a meeting to review ration department work at Jamshedpur Collectorate on Thursday. He directed the district officials to open paddy purchase centres in Manushmudiya, Kesharda, Jaipura, Bakulchanda, Galudih, Mahulia and Gobarghusi.
The DC said regular meetings should be held with the farmers to inform the latter about delay in payments following paddy acquisition so that no confusion prevails in their minds. He asked the officials concerned to hold meetings at their respective LAMPS offices and submit related reports. He asked all marketing officers to give priority to applications pertaining to ration cards at Sarkar Apke Dwar programmes.
Special rationing officer Naveen Kumar and other district officials were present at the meeting.
