Jamshedpur, Nov 18: For the first time in Steel city and in the Gujarati community Miss and Mrs Jamshedpur Gujarati will be organized at Tata Auditorium, XLRI on Tuesday, November 26.
Speaking at the pre event press conference at a city hotel today, Smita Parikh one of the organisers said that with a goal to provide a modern, cultural platform to the women of Gujarati community we have joined hands with the nationwide beauty pageant “Miss and Mrs India Gujarati”, that will hold “Miss and Mrs Jamshedpur Gujarati” in the city. The contest is a brain child of Minal Vakharia from Hyderabad.
In the Miss category unmarried girls from 16 years and above (No upper age limit) will take part where 25 girls have submitted their application. In the Mrs. Category married women where 28 have agreed to participate. The show is strictly opened to Gujarati’s only.
Judges present will be Mrs India 2012-Richa Sharma, Top Model Jessica Gomes and Ruchi Narendran. Winners and runners up will take part in the final contest “Miss and Mrs. India Gujarati” at Hyderabad on January 26, 2014. Famous “Prince” dance group will also perform on November 26, added Parikh.
Parikh further said that the same group will also organize Prince and Princess Jamshedpur Gujarati on Sunday, November 26. The event will be open for boys and girls from age group 7 to 10 and 11 to 14. There will be a participation of 80 children.
