Jamshedpur: Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta on Sunday presided over a high-level meeting with all the officials of the Health Department of Kolhan regarding the actions and future plans for fighting coronavirus.
Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Ravi Shankar Shukla, Civil Surgeons of the three districts, all Planning Officers, Medical Officers, President of IMA and Secretary were present in the meeting.
At present all the patients are being admitted to TMH, but continuously the patients are increasing so for this, the new building of MGM should be separated and developed as a separate COVID Hospital with a new boundary wall so that additional number of patients can be treated.
Health Minister Banna Gupta has instructed the Civil Surgeons and Deputy Commissioners of the three districts of Kolhan to ensure that the patients found in the district are treated in the same district, as well as to arrange for better treatment and food. He told that if the case is critical then treatment should be done in Jamshedpur.
Health Minister Banna Gupta told that a special package of Rs 200 crore has been demanded for MGM from CM Hemant Soren, so that the MGM system can be repaired.
Minister Banna Gupta said that there has been some incident in which positive patients have been found roaming, this is a serious matter. He directed the Deputy Commissioner to issue instructions to the local police to fix security arrangements in each of the Quarantine centers.
The minister has requested the common people that whatever cases are coming up, in most of the cases there are travel history, so do not be afraid, be cautious and follow the advisory prescribed by the government
