Jamshedpur: Potka MLA Menka Sardar laid the foundation stone of three pond renovation projects in Jamda, Upardevli and Sangram panchayats of Potka on Sunday. The ponds will be renovated at an expense of Rs 48.36 lakh, she said.
Addressing the villagers, Sardar said the state government was implementing a number of schemes meant to ensure welfare of the rural masses. She said the state government was working in the larger interest of the villagers. She said those projects which would benefit maximum number of people were being given top priority by the state government. She said very soon Potka block would be transformed into a model block.
The legislator said the state government had launched Krishi Ashirwad scheme for the poor farmers of the state. She said that all farmers should avail the benefits of the scheme without fail.
Among others present during the foundation laying ceremony included Zila Parishad member Sanjeev Sardar, Chandrawati Mahato, Sushil Sardar, Vibhishan Singh Sardar, Sunil Mahato, pradip Sarangi and Pintu Sarangi.
