Jamshedpur : A 30-year-old man was lynched to death when some suspected miscreants thrashed him at Sathduma at NH 33. The victim was killed with a dagger.
He used to work as a chef. The recovery of the body created a sensation in the tribal-dominated area this morning. The victim’s throat were slit open with some sharp-edged weapon.
“It’s a mysterious case and we are looking into all aspects and trying to find out the reason behind the killings,” said an official, adding that the police have started probing the case intensively.
The body was found lying in a pool of blood at jungle. The assailants have killed the victims by slitting their throat.
The senior police officer said that the people reside at the adjoining villages, but none of them in those villages claimed to have heard no screams or any thing from the jungle.
Prior to this the villagers block NH 33 road after the police failed to turn up at the spot.
