Jamshedpur : A 30-year-old man, Sukhdev Singh cut his wrist after losing in gambling at Sonari last night. Singh who is a resident of Bhalubasa had tried to commit suicide after he repeatedly lost in the gambling throughout the night. He was admitted to the medical college hospital.
A relative who requested for anonymity said that Singh who had a transport business was ruined due to his habit of gambling.
The doctor who attended the man with wounded wrist observed that the patient was out of danger, but he is not strong enough to move around.
Assistant sub-inspector of Sakchi police station Suresh Prasad, said they would record statement of Sukhdev Singh when he recovers from the injury.
