Jamshedpur, Sept 14: MGM police here began a probe into the alleged rape of a girl by his father. A complaint was lodged in this connection by the alleged victim.
According to police, the matter came to light after the 17 year-old younger brother of the victim saw her father commit the shameful act on 11th September last around 11.30 pm.
Meanwhile, the victim said she had informed police about the incident but police did not take action. Police claimed they had not got any complaint against the accused father.
Later, the victim dialed the toll free number 109 and informed members of Child Welfare Committee about the incident. She also sought their help to shift her to a safer place.
Patamada DSP Vijay Kumar Mahato said a case would be lodged against the accused persons once the complaint is received.
