Jamshedpur, April 8: Corona fear psychosis gripped people in Sharma Line on Mango Dimna Road when local people saw a young man sleeping with a shawl wrapped around him. They immediately called the helpline number and also informed the Mango and Ulidih police stations. But neither the police nor the helpline team arrived till until two hours later. The Mango police arrived at the spot at 12:30 pm but remained distant onlookers perhaps waiting for the medical team from the helpline to arrive. According to reports, the ambulance arrived at 12:51 pm. The young person was taken to MGM Medical College Hospital for a checkup.
The local residents tried to know about his name and his place of residence while maintaining a safe distance. The youth said that he had arrived 10 days earlier from Maharashtra. He said that he had been staying in different localities since his arrival in Jamshedpur. However, he could not say anything about his home. One local said that the youth was not in good mental frame. He was unable to speak coherently. The locals were in a quandary regarding the youth wrapping himself in a shawl in spite of the heat of the summer sun. The police and the medical team are trying to probe information about the young man who said he was from Maharashtra.
